Masouleh Village (Masule, Masooleh)

Masouleh Village is in 60 KM (37.5 Miles) South West of Rasht City and 32 KM (20 Miles) West of Fuman City in Gilan province of Iran. It is founded in 10th. The older village of Masouleh is is located 6 KM (4 Miles) northwest of current village and is called Old-Masouleh or Kohneh Masouleh and is abandoned.

The most important tourist attraction of Masouleh is its unique architecture. All the buildings are built on top of each other way up to the mountain in order that the yard of one home is actually roof of the below home.
